Could the way you sit, stand and hold your body in every day life be affecting your vision?
Could learning how to relax your muscles improve your eyesight?
In this interview for the Natural Healing Show for UK Health Radio, medical intuitive healer Catherine Carrigan interviews natural vision improvement expert Meir Schneider about how to loosen your body for better vision.
Many people suffer from forward head posture.
In this syndrome, typically you sit for hours and hours every day schlumping over a computer at work then your steering wheel in your car.
Your body acts like clay – it will adapt to whatever posture you put it in on a regular basis.
When the curvature of your thoracic spine – the 12 vertebrae in your upper back – is greater than 35 degrees, you technically have kyphosis.
And when that happens, your neck has no place to go but forward.
This adds tremendous pressure onto your neck.
Schlumping is the primary cause of much neck and shoulder pain and – you may not know this fact – many vision problems, according to Meir Schneider because of the tension this syndrome places on the nerves and tendons that connect to your eyes.

Forward head posture causes neck, shoulder and vision problems
For the past several decades, Meir Schneider has been one of my personal heroes in natural healing.
Although he was born blind in Russia, he now has an unrestricted drivers license and teaches people all over the world how to heal their vision naturally.
In my work as a medical intuitive healer as well as teaching yoga for over 26 years, I have helped countless clients overcome kyphosis.
One of the easiest ways to do that is by lying over egg-shaped yoga blocks.
Correcting this nasty schlumping habit is so critical for our total well being that I generally start every yoga class I teach by having students lie over yoga eggs.
As we do this for 5 to 7 minutes, we begin to release stress, open our airways to breathe more deeply, allow our nervous systems to go parasympathetic and correct our posture.
You can learn how by watching this video.
Questions addressed in my interview with Meir Schneider include:
1) How can changing the posture create better vision?
2) How does sharpening the senses affect one’s posture?
3) How can you use working on the body’s periphery to help your spine and your legs?
4) How does neck tension create blindness?
5) How is circulation critical for better vision?
6) How can you loosen up your neck by looking in the distance?
