How Healing Soul Wounds Empowers You to Clear Grief

During the coronavirus pandemic, you may find yourself processing a tremendous amount of grief.

As of this writing, an estimated 173,789 people have lost their lives to the virus in the U.S.

Worldwide, experts believe 775,000 people have died as a result of Covid-19.

On top of deaths, over 40 million Americans are believed to have lost their jobs due to coronavirus.

Although these figures are alarming in and of themselves, they do not accurately reflect the full extent of what you may be experiencing from the loss of your old way of life.

On a physical level grief affects our lungs.

On a soul level grief may be weighing you down in seemingly hopeless levels of depression.

Learning how to let go of grief that cuts this deeply is a process essential for the recovery of not only your mental and physical health but your outlook about what comes next.

My 10th book, Reading the Soul,  explains my process of reading what’s happening with you at the soul level.

In life we may experience wounds that go so deep they affect us at the level of our soul.

Reading the Soul by Catherine Carrigan

Reading the Soul by Catherine Carrigan, available in paperback, ebook or audiobook

A medical intuitive reading goes over what I refer to as the five levels of healing:

  • What’s going on with your physical body
  • What’s going on with your energy system
  • What’s going on with your emotions
  • Any thoughts and beliefs holding you back in your mental body
  • What’s going on with you at the soul

A soul reading illuminates many aspects of your current soul challenges, including identifying whether or not you are currently suffering from a wounded spirit.

There may have been any number of events that caused you to suffer from a wounded spirit:

  • Death of a loved one
  • Divorce
  • Separation
  • Loss of your job
  • Loss of your home
  • Childhood abuse
  • Poor parenting
  • Racism
  • Civil unrest
  • Violence
  • Personal injury
  • Illness
  • Change in your financial state
  • Family feuds
  • Loss of your way of life
  • Other events so big they changed the way you think, feel and live.

These life-changing events may feel so devastating that you question whether or not you are strong enough to live through them.

It’s important to remember that as a soul you have lived through many challenging times before – both in this and previous lifetimes.

You can find the inner resources to persevere!

The process of clearing wounded spirit includes three aspects:

  1. Identifying where and how your soul has been wounded.
  2. A healing to clear wounded spirit.
  3. Discovering what soul medicine you need – just as your physical body may need echinacea if you are suffering from a cold or your energy body may need rest – your soul also benefits from nurturing that may be very specific to you.

How can you tell if you are suffering from a wounded spirit?

Central Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your central meridian – the primary yin meridian of your body – you may feel that no matter what you do, you feel like a failure.

Governing Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your governing meridian – the primary yang meridian of your body – you may feel that no matter what you do, you don’t feel grounded to the earth or supported in your life’s journey.

Heart Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your heart meridian, you may feel that no matter what you do, you don’t know who you are and you don’t know how to be happy in this lifetime.

Small Intestine Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your small intestine meridian, you may notice yourself making the same mistakes over and over again. You have trouble learning from your life’s experiences.

Triple Warmer Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your triple warmer meridian, you may feel that no matter what you do, you are not in harmony with the world around you.

Heart Protector Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your heart protector meridian, you may feel that no matter how hard you try you don’t feel connected to who you really are or the world around you. You constantly feel like yo don’t fit in.

Spleen Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your spleen meridian, you feel constantly anxious and worried about the future.

Stomach Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your stomach meridian, no matter how much you achieve you never feel fulfilled in your life.

Large Intestine Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your large intestine meridian, you literally can’t let go of past hurts and regrets, leading you to stay stuck in depression.

Lung Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your lung meridian, no matter how awesome you are as a person, you suffer from low self esteem.

Kidney Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your kidney meridian, no matter how brave you try to be you can’t move past fear.

Bladder Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your bladder meridian, you try to control yourself, your life and everyone around you. As this is pretty much impossible, you tend to feel out of control most of the time.

Liver Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your liver meridian, you have trouble being kind to yourself  and stay stuck in anger and frustration. You tend to block your own creativity.

Gallbladder Meridian. When you suffer soul wounds affecting your gallbladder meridian, you tend to have trouble making the right choices for yourself and the entire universe.

As you read over this list, you may notice that you may be currently suffering from more than one soul wound.

It is not uncommon for me to find a person with soul wounds in each and every meridian.

Clearing wounded spirit is essential because until you clear the wounds that go to the level of your soul, no pharmaceutical medication, no natural healing remedy and no attempts to “just think positive” will alleviate your endless suffering.

In addition, if you don’t clear your wounded spirit you simply attract other wounded spirits.

When you take the time to do this deep inner work you can regain your passion for life and become a lighthouse of love and inspiration to others.

What is healing? Clearing wounded spirit allow you to heal grief at the deepest levels.
