Coming soon!

The rough draft of my fourth book, Banish The Blues Now, is out of my hands and into the hands of my very capable editor, Tony Kessler, and into the imagination of Mynzah Osiris, the artist who designed the cover of my third book, Unlimited Energy Now.

Banish The Blues Now is another labor of love.

My first book, Healing Depression: A Holistic Guide, was published in 1997. It was the best-selling book of the original publisher, Heartsfire Books, became the handbook for the Holistic Depression Network in Seattle, Washington, and went on to be published in Chinese.

In the past year, I have heard from many people urging me to update my work on natural healing remedies and holistic alternative medicine for depression.

At first, it was difficult for me to go back into the old energy. I spent months mulling over the project before completing the rough draft this month.

What kept me going this year was the same thought that kept me working for three years on the first book. I remembered how when I wrote it, I thought, “If I only help even just one person, all this hard work will be worth it!”

The new book includes a vastly expanded nutrition section:

  • Vitamins that heal depression naturally.
  • Minerals essential for a healthy brain.
  • Amino acids that balance your brain chemistry.
  • Herbs that lift your mood.
  • Flower essences that release the underlying emotions.
  • Foods that make you feel worse.
  • How to eat to banish the blues for good.

What else you will learn by reading my 4th book:

  • Medical conditions that cause depression.
  • Pharmaceutical drugs whose side effects are known to cause depression.
  • How to forgive yourself and your doctors for not getting to the bottom of what was ailing you before now.
  • How to heal the underlying causes of depression.
  • How to integrate traditional and alternative medicine to heal depression.

When I was 34, I got off lithium and antidepressants after 18 years.

I spent three years at the Emory University medical library researching my first book.

At the time, I lived in Acworth, Georgia.

I would drive 45 minutes to Emory, park my car, walk 10 minutes to the library, check out two books (because I wasn’t a student the most I could check out at any time was two books), turn around, walk back 10 minutes to my car, drive home another 45 minutes, then start all over again in a few days.

That was back in the old days when someone else published your book.

By now, I have assembled a wonderful team of folks to help me produce my current books.

New to my team is Tony Kessler, who I got to know during my third job out of college. Tony was managing editor of The Nashville Banner at a time when I was the senior business reporter.

Tony is currently Managing Editor for News and the Employers Counsel Network, with Business & Legal Resources (BLR), so I feel very fortunate that he has agreed to edit my new book.

I recently reconnected with Tony through the social media. I sent him copies of my two recent Amazon No. 1 best sellers, What Is Healing? Awaken Your Intuitive Power for Health and Happiness and Unlimited Energy Now in hopes of convincing him to join my team.

Everyone was so thrilled with the cover for Unlimited Energy Now that the artist, Mynzah, a very spiritual guy, has been enlisted to meditate on the cover of my new book.

Please be patient with me as we go through the final editing and production phases!

Thank you so much for reading my blog and my books.

Hope you will like this next effort, on its way soon!

What is healing? Healing happens when you learn how to use holistic alternative treatments to banish your blues for good.
